My name is Gill O’Shea, and I am Irish artist based in Dublin. I am Wild about Watercolour and my mission is simple – to create vibrant and unique paintings that make people happy. Choosing a piece of art is a really personal process but when you see a piece that inspires and moves you it can feel electric; there is nothing quite like it! I love watching people react to my work and finding the painting that belongs to them.
I offer a range of original paintings, limited edition fine art prints and commissions in a wide variety of sizes to suit all budgets. In terms of commissions I have experience paintings peoples children, parents, grandparents and pets.
Through my work I am committed to providing clients with the best possible experience by providing quality, professionalism and 150% commitment to every project.
A little more about me. I studied fine art in DIT college and was really proud to graduate with a first class honours in 2005. After graduating I decided to take a break from art and found that I also had a passion for business and finance (weird combination…I know??). While working in the corporate world I started studying Accountancy, and qualified as an accountant with the ACCA in 2010.
As the years drifted by, I slowly started to sketch and play with watercolour paints. The more I painted, the more I fell in love with this magical medium and remembered the fulfilment I felt from creating art. I wondered whether I could follow my childhood dream of becoming a professional artist.
So in 2016 I decided to go for it! I took a step away from the world of financial services and launched my own art business – Dabble in Art. It’s been an amazing journey. I’ve learned so many new skills and forged lots of new friendships. All the hard work seems worth it when I can go into my studio every day to create something new and make people happy with my art.
Thank you so much for visiting my studio. Get in touch if you have any queries - I would love to hear from you.
