Today I wanted to introduce my new collection of silk scarves and announce the winner of my recent Horse Show giveaway.
The story behind the scarf
As key ingredient in the recipe of style, the silk scarf is a lightweight, luxurious and incredibly versatile fashion accessory to enable every wearer to inject a new pop of colour into their existing wardrobe. I have always adored print and textiles and I love exploring new ways of making art more accessible and functional, so this year I wanted to create small packages of luxury that would allow people to own a piece of wearable art for under €100.
Today marks the official launch of my first range of silk scarves! The collection features horse portraits printed in strong vibrant colours on 100% silk to celebrate the role of horse in Irish culture and combine tactile luxury with affordable art. I will be showcasing the new range at this year’s Dublin Horse Show 8th -12th August.
The Collection
ISPCA Donation To Protect Animals
I am very proud to partner with the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals (ISPCA) and €5 from the sale of every scarf will be donated to the ISPCA to support their critical work to pro-actively relieve animal suffering in Ireland.
Press Reaction
The initial reaction to the collection has been amazing. It was really great to have my work featured in the national press over the weekend. I was featured in a lovely interview with Aileen Lee in the Property & Interiors section of the Irish Examiner on Saturday, and my new collection was featured by the Fashion Editor Bairbre Power in the Sunday Independent. There is also a lovely interview with Julia Cuprina in Cuckoo Magazine.
