Gold

Every tiger in the world is unique – no two tigers have the same pattern of stripes. This is Gold, my first tiger in watercolour. I love her relaxed pose with her large paws draping over the edge of her perch. She looks so calm and cuddly, yet those still, alert, green eyes are carefully watching and ready to punch into action if required.

They may be big and heavy, but tigers are by no means slow movers. In fact, at full speed they can reach up to 65km/h! These fierce felines have walked the earth for a long time. Fossil remains of tigers found in parts of China are believed to be 2 million years old. Yikes!

After a century of decline, overall wild tiger numbers are on the rise. Around 3,900 tigers remain in the wild, but much more work is needed to protect this species if we are to secure its future in the wild. In some areas, including much of Southeast Asia, tigers are still in crisis and still declining in number.

This original painting is completely unique and one of a kind. It is delivered professionally framed by Appletons Picture Framers in Stillorgan Dublin, in my signature limed white wooden frame, with an off-white double mount under glass. This piece is approximately 75cm x 90cm (framed) in size.

Please note this painting will not be available for shipping or collection until after 25th November 2019.
