Custard - Original Watercolour Painting (29"x26")

I don't know about you but I find something really relaxing about looking at cows! I love their gentle nature as they mooch around green fields. This is a new painting of a little Charloise cow called 'Custard'. I wanted to evoke Custards relaxed and soft expression by layering lots of soft washes of warm golds and turquoise to build up his portrait. For this painting I wanted to highlight the different textures of Custards face using a range of different brush strokes to contrast the soft long fur of his ears, with his solid horns and wet pink nose. The finishing painting is full of life, colour and tranquillity.

This original watercolour painting is professionally framed by Appletons Picture Framers in Stillorgan Dublin. It is framed in my signature limed white wooden frame, with an off-white double mount under glass. The piece is approx. 35”x30" framed in size.
